Terms of service

The terms on which STORI is offered.

Last reviewed 1 April 2026 · STORI Ltd, London

Who we are

STORI is operated by STORI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. When these terms say “we” or “STORI”, we mean STORI Ltd. When we say “you”, we mean the person using the service.

What STORI is, and isn’t

STORI is a shared logbook for pieces that pass through a restorer. We provide the infrastructure: the accounts, the database, the logbook format, the emails, the PDF certificates. We aren’t the restorer; we don’t perform the repairs; and we aren’t the brand that made the piece. Claims about the work itself are between you and the restorer.

Your account

  • Keep your login email secure. Access to a piece’s logbook is gated by that email — if someone else can read your inbox, they can read the logbook.
  • You must be at least 18 to use STORI.
  • Don’t use STORI to record anything you don’t have the right to record — other people’s pieces, for example.

Payments (for restorers)

Restorers pay a monthly subscription fee and a small per-piece fee. Prices on the marketing site are placeholders and may change before the service goes live; any change to the price for an active subscription will be given 30 days’ notice. Subscriptions are month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time, with no termination fee.

Ownership and transfer

A piece’s logbook belongs to its owner. If ownership transfers, the logbook transfers with it, through the process described on the piece’s vault page. The photographs, notes, and chapters recorded by a restorer remain viewable by the new owner.

Things we can’t promise

We work hard to keep STORI running, but we can’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or free of error. To the extent the law allows, we provide STORI “as is” and aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. If we have to limit our liability, we’ll limit it to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using STORI at any time. We can close an account if someone is using STORI in a way that puts the service or other users at risk. If that happens we’ll tell you why, and give you a reasonable window to export your data.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll update the “last reviewed” date at the top, and for substantial changes we’ll write directly to active account holders.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
